Blue tick for everyone by Twitter soon

Twitter is planning to bring blue tick for everyone. Blue tick is for public figures which basically means verified. This feature is also available on Facebook for verified accounts. People are very much obsessed with this blue tick. This feature was most requested feature on Twitter. Now Twitter has finally decided to provide this feature to everyone.

Why is Twitter bringing blue tick feature for everyone?

Fake accounts are always there to flood Twitter with hateful comments and wrong information. People criticise Twitter for this culture of hate and misinformation. To counter this and to make the platform little cleaner, Twitter is taking this decision. The blue tick is a status symbol but soon it will become mandatory for everyone so that only genuine persons can use Twitter.

Twitter wants to be trusted service provider which is the ultimate goal of the leading social media company. US midterm elections are going to happen this year.  The social giant is ensuring that the candidates in the election have authentic accounts on Twitter.

Twitter users have witnessed many fights and controversies which keeps on increasing. The main cause of this issue is that people with the fake account don’t care much about what they are typing. The non-responsibility leads to such hateful commenting. Once users will have accounts with the blue tick, they will have to abide by Twitter rules. Otherwise, Twitter will bar those users from using Twitter in the future.

Conclusion

This move is certainly the smartest one Twitter has ever taken. Recently, fake accounts lead to spreading much controversial and sensitive matter over Twitter especially in India. If Twitter will allow only verified accounts for commenting then the platform will be much cleaner and experience will be good. This will reduce the growing intolerance over the internet. Tell us what do you think about this change by Twitter. Do you think Twitter will bring this feature to India? Or it will be limited to the USA only.
