Anudeep Durishetty Topped UPSC 2017 in last attempt


The results of mains UPSC 2017 got out on 27 April 2018 and topper is none other than Anudeep Durishetty. He belongs to Metpally, Telangana. Around 9.5 lacs of candidates sat for UPSC last year. Anu Kumari has secured the second position.

Anudeep Durishetty is Assistant Commissioner at Indian Revenue Service, Government of India

Not many people know that Anudeep Durishetty is working as Assitant commissioner at Indian Revenue Service. He got the training from National Academy Of Customs Excise and Narcotics (NACEN). Since 2015 he has been working as Assistant Commissioner. Meanwhile, he was preparing for UPSC.  This was his last attempt. He was 28 years old when he applied for UPSC last year.Anudeep Durishetty


Anudeep Durishetty is Electronics and Instrumentation engineering graduate from BITS Pilani. He graduated from BITS Pilani in 2011. Since he was passionate about Civil services, he started preparing for it after his engineering.

Final words

Many time candidates complain that they can’t prepare for UPSC because they are doing jobs. Anudeep Durishetty has proved that even working people can crack the toughest exam if they stop making excuses and prepare with dedication. There is one more point which is worth noting. Anudeep started the preparation right after his graduation. Hence it is wise to start the preparation as soon as possible.
